The 2020 Chevy Blazer was recently named the Best New Midsize SUV, which is part of the Good Housekeeping Institute’s Best New Family Car Awards. If you’re in the market for a new two-row SUV in Dixon, Illinois, consider this family-friendly Blazer.
The Blazer is a midsize SUV that comes with seating for five people, over 64 cubic feet of total cargo space. The Blazer can also easily tow 4,500 pounds, when properly equipped, so you can bring along a small trailer. Plus, drivers can pick between a 2.5-liter engine, 2.0-liter turbo, or a 3.6-liter V6.
“A stylish exterior and an appealing aesthetic wraps this practical, fun-to-drive crossover,” said Rachel Rothman, Good Housekeeping Institute head engineer and chief technologist. “You’ll enjoy a confident, responsive drive that stands out on city streets and highways alike.”
The institute tested each vehicle for convenience, considering things like cargo space, convenience, safety, and infotainment. The Blazer, for example, has Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ to let you hook up your smartphone to the in-vehicle media system, accessing apps, playlists, contacts, and more. Each vehicle is tested for 5,000 miles by the Good House Keeping Institute for the Best New Family Car Awards.
Experience all that the Blazer has to offer when you stop by Ken Nelson Chevrolet to test-drive it. You’re sure to fall in love with this award-winning SUV.
One of America’s favorite SUVs, the Chevrolet Traverse, is
getting a facelift for the 2022 model year. With redesigned front and rear
fascias, LED headlights and brake lights, four different wheel choices, and a
newly designed grille, the 2022 Chevy Traverse is bound to be one of the best-models
to arrive next year.
The upcoming Traverse will boast sportier looking rear and
front fascias and an updated grille style. You’ll also be able to select from four
different wheel choices. It takes its cues from the Tahoe and Suburban model
refreshes. As Chevrolet exterior design director Holt Ware articulates, “[The
2022 Traverse] gains this new commanding performance and presence we know […]
owners will appreciate.”
The 2022 Traverse will elaborate on the model’s pleasing
array of tech for an engaging and informative driving experience. For starters,
you can enjoy a new 8-inch touch screen which reduces eyestrain. USB ports in
each row will let you keep smart devices charged to full capacity. And there
are even more seating options available in the 2022 Traverse.
Standard safety features
It wouldn’t be a complete makeover if Chevy didn’t throw in a few more standard features on the 2022 Traverse. The refreshed Traverse will include the following protective tools: Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, IntelliBeam auto high beams, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Front Pedestrian Braking.
The Chevrolet Equinox is getting some exciting updates for the 2021 model year. These updates include fresh styling, a new trim level, and more available safety features. With these updates, the Equinox gets even better and more versatile.
The first thing you might notice about the 2021 Chevrolet
Equinox is the new front and rear fascia design. The sharp, new grille gives
the Equinox a more aggressive design. For an even sportier look, you can choose
the new RS trim with a gloss black grille, 19-inch Dark Android wheels, black
side rails, black badging, and black bowties. The styling continues inside with
red accent stitching on the black upholstery.
Standard safety features on the 2021 Equinox will include
Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert,
IntelliBeam® Headlamps, a Rear Vision Camera, a Following Distance Indicator,
and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. You will be able to add even
more safety with available options like Automatic Parking Assist, a HD Surround
Vision Camera, and Front and Rear Park Assist.
There will be two engine options to choose from. The base
engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 170 horsepower and 203
lb-ft of torque. You can get more power from the available 2.0-liter
turbocharged engine rated at 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
