2020 GMC Sierra HD and the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD recently won awards for their technological prowess. The American and Canadian resource for car residual value estimates, also known as the ALG, gave the two heavy-duty trucks 2020 Technology Innovation Awards.
The impressive array of camera trailering tech is a primary reason these models earned accolades. Both trucks have the most views possible, a total of 15, thanks to eight cameras. Surround View enables you to see the bed, the truck sides, inside the trailer, and the truck’s surroundings.
Transparent View is another feature that gave the Sierra HD and Silverado HD an edge on the competition. It’s the first system of its kind. This tech relies on multiple cameras from the back of the trailer and the truck to give you a full view of what’s behind the trailer, so that the trailer appears invisible. It provides increased safety and convenience for a variety of trailering tasks.
The Sierra HD and Silverado HD also have easy-to-use infotainment systems, wireless charging, and a suite of modern driving assistance programs. This translates to a connected driving experience so you can work and play en route to your destination.
ALG has hosted the Technology Innovation Awards only twice, and experts say this year’s winners have set the bar high for the industry. Celebrate these two winning GM trucks for yourself when you stop by Ken Nelson Chevrolet to test-drive them.
