What’s Coming For The Future Of The GMC Lineup

For 2020, GMC is adding a host of new features to its vehicles. The GMC lineup will boast upgraded safety systems as well as new designs and engines.

Safety Features

The GMC Terrain is getting standard GMC Pro Safety features on all trims, including features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assistance with Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert. The 2020 GMC Acadia is also getting new standard safety equipment like Lane Change Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

New Off-Road Capability

The AT4 sub-brand under the GMC name provides drivers with options for high-quality vehicles with off-road prowess. At first only the Sierra HD trucks and the Sierra 1500 were available with AT4 models, but the Acadia AT4 was just added as an option. A 2021 Canyon AT4 was also recently announced, too.

Cutting-Edge Pickup Trucks

The Sierra 1500 is adding the option of a Duramax® turbo-diesel engine, while drivers can also opt for the available ProGrade Trailering System. The all-new Sierra HD trucks also come with more trailering technology than ever before, the exclusive MultiPro tailgate, and a best-in-class maximum gooseneck trailering rating of 35,500 pounds.* That’s 52-percent more trailering power than the previous model year delivered.
